We are lucky to be on the leveling plan for the gas bill. Hopimg for smaller light bills thru the winter.

I am glad your car troubles are corrected.

Drained the antifreeze and replaced it in our truck. Need to check the Durango's fluids too. Hope we won't need the 4 wheel drive much this year. My classes will be downtown, 45 minutes away. Classes start after a.m. rush, and last class ends right at evening rush. 40 weeks, 3 days a week, and Uncle Sam footing the bill. Just one of many benefits of serving your country.

Ya I can't believe October is going to begin on Tuesday... Crazy. I'm sure it will go fast. Just would love cooler weather like what you are thinking cosy. Definitely would be nice to get the energy bill down.

I wish they did that sort of stuff here. But they don't...

they offer it here, (actually used to work for the gas co as a rep offering it so I know all about it), just not interested since they amount they suggest is waaay more than needed and then you just wind up with a huge positive balance which I could be using for the electric bill at that time instead of a surplus at the gas co....but just doesnt work that way. I like having a wimpy gas payment in the summer when my electric bill looks more like the national debt.
and I like it best when I have to pay neither more than my current wages (remember I am a homemaker!)


another nice day of having the doors open....until the neighbor started something on fire and all the smoke decided to visit me ....then had to close them (had the oven on anyways so the a/c was nice to keep that from making it too hot in here).

Ours just need to be cleaned out. But they won't do it so all of the junk up there just blows around.

Ya that is usually what ends our windows open day as well. Neighbor decides to grill and they of course put off a lot of smoke... Oh well.

I cant remember when we had ours done...so that means its been longer than since I left for japan so thats more than 10 years ago....and I highly doubt our 'filter' works well enough to keep much out (even if I did clean it on a regular basis )...so yeah, all that crude just keeps getting blown around...so I hope that a good cleaning will benefit my health as well as having less crude to clean up around the house. (they are also going to do one of those tests to see how much airflow is actually getting to the vents...should be fun to see how little actually gets to my bedroom...I am thinking less than 40%, and then all of that goes right out the window )

biggest problem is I have to move a lot of boxes to get to one of the vents in the spare (see gw mule) room with no place to put the stuff!

Hopefully that does help then cosy. Never fun when you don't feel well because a place is dirty.

I understand the stuff. Living in a 1 bedroom apartment means there is very little room for all of our stuff.

been there and done that. and dont wish to do it again.
have been working on cleaning up parts of the condo---will tackle the spare room over the weekend as I think I will need hubby around jic I fail at jenga.

I haven't been working on cleaning. Wife is finally back so maybe she will clean tomorrow? Probably not.

Was going to work on my car today but the coolant was still a bit to warm for my liking. Didn't feel like burning my hand. Will have to do it this weekend.

how did the trip to the car mechanic go? (did you get that car back?)

well finally I think the mold count has come down, not feeling quite as lethargic as I had been, and got a good amount of sleep last night too.

My wifes car? Ya we got that one back. Just the battery apparently. Has been running fine for about a week now. So now I just have to get my car straightened out. Will do that this weekend.

Well it rained and stormed all morning then rained a bit more this afternoon. Thought maybe it would cool things off but apparently not. Warm again tomorrow... Cooler hopefully on Saturday.

Rained yesterday and last night and now all of sudden 88 today? Ick...

was supposed to rain here...but seems to have rained to the north and south, but missed us....which is both good and bad. Mold spores are back waaaaay up again

well doing the big clean this weekend to try to find the spare bedrooms' heating vent, hope to not have to make a trip to the local er due to my attempts failing (or falling on me).

Apparently it poured here and stormed. I was out and about with my dad and nephews and then at my grandparents visiting them for a bit so I missed all of that. Supposed to maybe rain more tonight. Hope it does and hope it brings cooler weather.

Cleaning weekend? I think I'll pass thanks!

well, I made it TO the spare bedroom yesterday, and started working my way in....today I get to play the real game of where do I put this &%^$ stuff???? (got a few bags of those styrofoam peanuts out of there yesterday and some bags of bubble wrap).

if you dont hear from me on monday...I probably lost my game of spare bedroom jenga

Not too bad there cosy. We are constantly playing the where do we put this stuff game... It isn't fun.

thanks...day one has gone rather....well, its going. I can see the vent in the spare bedroom! (now the fun part of moving everything to get to it---). I hope to be able to move enough tomorrow that they can squirm up to it, some really heavy boxes were put against that wall....so I hope I dont really have to move them far (ok, I cant), and the rest of the place now looks like an explosion in a packing warehouse with boxes and bubble wrap and packing peanuts everywhere (yes even in the bathroom--its one of the few places with...SPACE! )
well we are doing some major cleaning and have moved 3 huge garbage bags of those peanuts (going to give them to one of those packing/mailing places), ditched a bunch of tiny and smushed cardboard (empty) boxes ...so our recycling people are going to love us this week

Supposed to only get up to like 77 this week. Thank goodness. Cooler weather is exactly what I want!
